Fall Wedding Invitations

Favors For Weddings -
If you are planning to marry in the fall, you have many things to consider. One would be location. Though the fall in the northern part of the US is beautiful, there is something to be said for the unpredictability of the weather. You may think that getting married with the fall foliage, as a backdrop may be beautiful, you run the huge risk of ruining your ceremony. I recently went to a wedding in October that would have been beautiful had it not been windy and spitting snowflakes. The ceremony went off, but it was a horrible experience. Perhaps you might want to save the foliage for your fall wedding invitations and take the ceremony indoors. The great thing about fall wedding invitations is that they can easily reflect the season yet remain classy and beautiful. There are many ways you can go about getting the right invitation, though you dont have to get a fall theme if you dont want to. Many companies have fall wedding invitations, and you just have to go through and pick out the ones that you feel fit your wedding the best. Some can be customized if you cant find exactly what you want. You can also make fall wedding invitations rather easily. If you look through your favorite craft store, you can find fake leaves used for scrapbook purposes. These can easily be the front of your fall wedding invitations. They will look great, and will give your guests a great idea of what your wedding colors and ceremony will be like. You can use fall colors if you want, and you can carry this theme through to your reception as well. If you do this in October, you will have plenty of stuff you can use that can be found locally. If you are going to brave a fall wedding outdoors, make sure you have an alternative in case of bad weather. When you print up or make your own fall wedding invitations, you can include information for the alternative. That way, when the wedding has to be moved, your guests will know where to go without having to tell everyone on that day. This will speed things up very nicely. Remember that they will not be happy, and you may have a lot of grumpy guests, but at least they were warned of the possibility when they read your fall wedding invitations.

Beach Weddings

Those Fall Wedding Bouquets -
Today, more and more people are opting for something a little different when they are planning their wedding. Though many people still get married in a church, some people are looking for something a little more in tune with who they are. If you love the ocean, there is no reason why you cant have a beach wedding as long as you can afford it. Not only are they beautiful, they will be something that your guests will remember for a long time to come. There are a lot of things you must consider when planning this type of wedding, however, and you have to keep your guests in mind as you plan. A beach wedding will be a little more expensive if you dont happen to live near the beach. If you have to travel, so will your guests. You have to be realistic when thinking about this. Will your friends and family be able to afford to travel to your wedding? In most cases, you wont have a lot of guests at a beach wedding, but you dont want to have one if the majority of the people you want to be there wont be able to afford the extra costs. You also have to consider the whether when planning a beach wedding. Doing it in any other time than summer is a bad idea. Even in the south, there may be some days in the winter months when it is just too cold for a beach wedding. Take it from me; if your guests are cold and miserable, it is going to be something that takes away from the delight of your special day. You should plan your wedding on a weekend and tell the guest that if there is rain on one day, the wedding will be rescheduled for the next day. You should also have an indoor alternative incase you are pelted with rain on both days. You also have to remind your guests that when they attend your beach wedding that they may have to walk on the sand for a bit. This can mean they dont want to wear heels or anything that the sand will ruin. You may want to ask them to wear sandals or flip flops, and remind them that going barefoot might not be the best idea unless you have someone who is willing to rake the area before you set up for your wedding. The more your guests know, the more fun they will have at your beach wedding, and the better your memories will be.

Wedding Photos

Wedding Packages -
I work in a very large company. We have people from varying backgrounds that work there. Many of the support staff have high school diplomas and some technical training. The designers, sales people and management staff have advanced degrees. Many of our projects involve members of every department working together to meet deadlines. This is when life can get very interesting, as well as fun. I enjoy working with people. I find the differences in peoples personalities and preferences quite enjoyable as well as humorous. One of the lead people on our latest project is a very stern by the book sort of woman. She is a stickler for details and is quite outspoken. One of the support staff on the project is quite the opposite. She is fun loving and often times flies by the seat of her pants. She also has great computer skills as well as clerical skills. She is always my first pick to have involved in a project. During this recent project her daughter was married. At one of the planning meeting she brought along wedding photos to share with the group. When we meet for project meetings we usually start mid morning and have a brownbag lunch brought in at noon so we can continue working. There is usually a short break when people are getting their lunch together when people chat. It was during this time that the worker brought out the wedding photos. I do not know the womans daughter, but I have heard stories about how wild she can get at parties. Her wedding was no exception. The wedding photos were of the reception and the bride dancing on the table tops and other various antics. They had been placed in an album to keep them from getting bent or soiled. According to the wedding photos the reception had been quite an event. Several of us were looking at them when the lead worker was out of the room. When she walked back in she asked what we were doing. We told her we were looking at wedding photos. This interested her because her daughter recently got married, which was a huge social event in the community. I had to leave the room because I was laughing so hard at the look on the lead workers face when she saw the wedding photos. I had seen the formal portraits that were taken at her daughters wedding. I am sure she could not imagine a wedding reception like the one she was seeing in these wedding photos. It situations like this that keeps life interesting.

Popular Wedding Reception Ideas

Wedding Reception Ideas -
If you have ever been to a lavish wedding, you know how stuffy these affairs can be. There may be something beautiful about a very expensive reception, but it may leave many of the people there feeling cold. I guess it depends on your family and what you have experienced as you have gone through life. Many people have different wedding reception ideas, and everyone has a different budget. Though most of the receptions I have been to have been wonderful, a remember feeling very uncomfortable at my best friends madly expensive wedding reception. My friend has very rich parents, and they could afford no matter what it was that she wanted. They simply booked time at a ballroom at their country club, and the wedding reception ideas were pretty much put in place for them. There were strict rules about the what they could and could not do there, so this left very little room for making the event their own. We had a wonderful time, however, but I do know that she wishes there had been a little more space for her own wedding reception ideas that day. If you dont want to use the same old wedding reception ideas you dont have to. There may different things you can do, and many different things you can do with different budgets. Even if you dont have a lot of money you can come up with something wonderful for your friends and family. When it comes to wedding reception ideas, you should keep in mind how many people you will have there, and what your budget will be. Theres nothing wrong with having an outdoor barbecue for your wedding reception if that is all that you can afford. In fact, this may be something that your family enjoys even more than a stuffy reception at the reception hall. You can look online for wedding reception ideas, and you can find many uncommon ones if you look around. Those who have gone with different wedding reception ideas and had great success with them want to share these ideas with everyone else. Weddings and wedding receptions are changing drastically, and people are learning how to make these days completely and entirely their own. You may find that if you go with unconventional wedding reception ideas that you will have more fun than you could have ever have imagined. Your family may thank you for it as well.

Beach Wedding

Candle Wedding Favors -
One of the public health nurses that I work with has been talking about getting married for several years. She has been engaged for three years and recently gave birth to the second child that she and her fianc have. Several months ago she announced that they had set a wedding date. They decided that they were going to get married on the fourth anniversary of meeting each other.
As she started making calls for the wedding she discovered that she could not find a place for the reception. Rather than change the date the couple decided that they would have a beach wedding instead. The couple lives close to a large public beach. There is a pavilion close by in a large park. They decided that the ceremony would take place by the water and the reception would be catered in the pavilion. The brides uncle is a minister and he did agree to perform the beach wedding, however he warned the couple that this arrangement does not always work out the best because the beach is a public place. The couple felt that he was exaggerating. They thought that strangers would respect the privacy of a gathering of people attending a beach wedding. The plan was to have an early evening ceremony followed by a light supper and dancing.

Contemporary Wedding Invitations

The Wedding Theme -
Are you planning a wedding? If you've just become engaged, now is a good time to start. There are more details than you can shake a stick at, ones you may never have imagined. You want everything to be perfect and that is a tall order indeed. While there are traditional and more contemporary styles of weddings, we're going to take a look at one item in the mountain of details: contemporary wedding invitations. What you'll find is information to make your personalized contemporary wedding invitations just perfect. Contemporary wedding invitations are usually highly personalized to the bride and groom, incorporating photographs or even paintings of the happy couple, if you have an artist in your circle of friends. With digital technology and graphics design software, you can create backgrounds that may be printed on blank stock. If the newlyweds are honeymooning in Hawaii, a tropical scene as your background can make a happy memory live forever in this keepsake. Contemporary wedding invitations are sometimes printed on a single high rag content card rather than the traditional note card style. This alone adds to the contemporary flavor and mood of your invitations. You'll need to decide whether you'll have the words of the invitation printed or hand lettered. Calligraphy is quite popular in contemporary wedding invitations. You might consider a rapidograph to hand print invitations, complete with serifs on each letter, for a distinctive, contemporary look. If you choose to have your invitations professionally printed, be aware there are many printing options available. Some are very pricey, and you may not find all of them suitable to contemporary wedding invitations. Keep your mind open when exploring these options. Engraving, embossing and thermography are some examples of printing embellishments. Although the contemporary wedding invitations generally bend the rules a bit, certain points of protocol still apply. If you pick stock invitations, they'll come with matching envelopes. If your invitations are hand made, there are still standard sizes of papers and envelopes to match that size of paper stock. Depending on your invitation design, you may want a colored envelope to make the perfect presentation. Other tasks you'll need to accomplish in producing your finished invitations include ordering or designing thank you notes, creating a clear map of directions to the event and RSVP cards. If ordering printed cards, you'll want to find out your printer's required lead time to deliver your invitations. You'll want to mail them out at least 6 weeks to 2 months in advance, so your guests will have plenty of time to adjust their schedule as necessary and make flight reservations if they'll be traveling a distance. Now you must see how important it is to get going with planning your wedding. If you follow these tips, you'll have picture-perfect contemporary wedding invitations. If you're feeling overwhelmed, consult with a wedding planner!

Wedding Present

Wedding Guest Books -
This summer, we have more than a few weddings coming up. While I look forward to these events with great anticipation, I always have difficulty coming up with an idea for that perfect wedding present. I know I will also be invited to the bridal showers for these events, which leads me to need two presents instead of just one. The good thing is that bridal shower presents can generally be purchased from a wedding registry, and if you go to the store early you can get good pick and wind up with something that you really want to give to the recipient. However, if you wait too long after receiving the invitation, presents will be picked over and you may end up with something that would not be your first choice. In the end, though, bridal shower presents are generally much easier to purchase than a great wedding present. I probably over think things, but I try to give a wedding present that goes along with a theme. For instance, if I know they like being outdoors, one of my favorite gifts to give is a really nice all inclusive picnic basket and a few bottles of wine. Or, if I purchase something like a mixer I also like to include a few personal recipes or even a full cook book purchased from a store. Generally, I think it is nice to try to keep a wedding gift on a smaller size scale because it is difficult to transport gifts after a wedding reception. Trying to keep that in mind, things can get a little dicey! Many times, the type of wedding gift you give can depend on the area the wedding is taking place. Some areas of the country have customary gifts, especially if it is given from a family member. Also, in many areas of the country it is customary to simply give some form of money as a wedding gift. I know in my area of the country, you very rarely see wedding gifts on the table during the wedding, but there are plenty of cards containing money. However, when I go to family weddings in the Midwest, a wedding gift is usually a physical present and not money. I am sure I will find something to give as gifts for my upcoming weddings, and Im sure I will overanalyze what I end up giving. I will have to just remember that it is the thought that counts, and if worse comes to worst I can always give the appreciated gift of cash!
